A New Networking App: SociaLink

It can be hard to juggle all your social networks, especially when you are connecting with someone for the first time. SociaLink is a great app to help you simplify that process. Available for free from the Apple Store, this app uses Bluetooth to help make those connections.

To get started, you first need to download the app! This introduction screen will welcome you:

It's pretty self-explanatory. Set up your social accounts (SociaLink currently handles Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram) as soon as you've downloaded the app - so you won't have to rush to do it later. You do have to log in to each network separately, but this is just a one-time set-up.

Once you've done that, you're all set! Make sure your Bluetooth is enabled and wait for SociaLink to locate your new contact:

Now you can share your contact information with the next person you meet, and if they have SociaLink their information will be shared with you. This doesn't automatically friend or follow your new contact - you'll still have to do that. But it does provide you with their information. There is also an option to enter in your new contact's email address and have your info sent to them instead.

Whichever way you go, SociaLink will help you connect. This would be especially useful at conferences or events when everyone shuffles business cards back and forth. No need to worry about losing that important new acquaintances info!
