Posted on December 28, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

As the year comes to an end, it's time to get all dolled up to celebrate New Year's Eve!

Go all out in this gorgeous silver gown.

Going to a NYE party for work? This dress is still modest enough for work, but fancy enough for New Year's Eve.

Looking for a more casual style? Leather and leopard will give you a rockin' look to bring in the 2013.

Guys, you better dress to impress too! Sport coat, blazer, or just a leather jacket...throw something on to keep up.

You can go more casual - this look will go great when you're date is wearing leather and leopard :)

  • Christmas Style

Posted on December 21, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

Christmas is almost here. Need some ideas for what to wear to that family get-together/work party/friends-only shindig?

    We've got them for you!

You can't go wrong in red, though we recommend getting the hair out of your eye :)

Keeping it casual is ideal for a family celebration. Jeans, red sweater, neutral jacket - check.

A white sweater is another great look for family or friend-focused events. Mixing a black hat and boots with a brown bag makes the look even more unique.

Want to look a little nicer for the work party? Go for the gold! This gold tunic will keep you warm while also helping you stand out in the crowd.

Guys, casual is great for you too!

Or you can go a little nicer with a green blazer and bow tie. (Bowties are cool - the Doctor says so.)

And this guy is totally pulling off this casual look. The gray sweater makes the flannel shirt a little nicer, but the stocking cap keeps it low-key.

Not celebrating Christmas? No worries. Enjoy the day off anyway :)

  • What to Wear: Labor Day Weekend

Posted on August 31, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

It's not officially the last weekend of summer, but it may as well be! This is likely your last chance to head to the lake/beach/wherever you sneak away to for holidays.

Want to bring a little fall into your Labor Day wardrobe but it's still warm outside? Pair a summer dress with brown booties, like the girl below.

Staying in the city for Labor Day but wish you were leaving? Dress like you made it to the woods with a flannel shirt and cut-off jeans and head to the park.

Going to a party on the beach, or maybe at the lake? This look will take you from day to night, just change your shoes.

And what should you wear, guys?

Keep it clean and classic with a black henley, neutral shorts, and Converse. It's a look that will work anywhere (except the office!)

Can you say urban style? Tank, jeans, and rugged boots. This guy is definitely staying in the city this weekend.

This look can be city or rural. Worn khakis, button-down shirt and loafers? You might even be able to pull this off at the (casual) office before heading out for the weekend! (Though we recommend leaving out the cigarette - it isn't a good look or idea for anyone!!)

Wherever you go and whatever you do this weekend, stay safe and enjoy!

  • Marvelous Marigold

Posted on August 24, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

The color yellow is often associated with summer. So how do you transition it to fall? By going with a little darker shade of yellow. Specifically, marigold.

Marigold is a deep yellow, still bright enough to have all the wonderful traits of yellow but deep enough to be worn well into autumn.

If you're wary of it, start off with a marigold bag like the one below.

Source: goo.gl via Albert on Pinterest

To go a little bolder, try a marigold jacket. And don't worry if you don't think it matches your outfit. Marigold goes with pretty much everything!

To add a little fun to an outfit, try this patterned marigold sweater.

A solid marigold sweater is bold, and paired with a short skirt, a great early fall option.

A marigold dress is fun and flirty for fall. You'll stand out in a room filled with browns and blacks.

Need to go a little fancier? Try this one shoulder dress with classic shoes and clutch.

However you choose to incorporate marigold into your wardrobe, you can't go wrong!

  • Watch Your Back

Posted on August 3, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

One of the classiest ways to show a little skin is an open back. But what if you don't want to show too much skin? Check out some of these amazing dresses!

Somehow this black dress makes a skull look classy.

This turquoise netting adds some fantastic color to a classic black dress.

Color blocking and an interesting back - this dress is doing it all right.

This ultra-feminine dress is too cute. Very Zooey Deschanel!

  • Mint Green with Envy

Posted on July 26, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

Some colors come in and out of style with the season. Some remind us only of our grandmother's kitchens, or our mother's 80's eye shadow.

But one color seems to be timeless. Mint green.

It is delicate, but not diminutive. Pastel, but powerful. Feminine, but still a touch edgy.

From your feet to your ears, there is a way for everyone to try this color!

Believe it or not, you can do all over mint green! Just use different shades...

A bold statement necklace in mint green demands attention. But be sure you wear this choice with a simpler top. This necklace deserves all the focus.

A mint green jacket would be the perfect way to welcome the fall chill. And many of us wish that chill would hurry up and get here!

But the quickest and cheapest way to add a little mint green to your wardrobe? Pick up a bottle of polish and paint those nails! Mint green goes with pretty much everything, and isn't too much color for the office.

There are countless ways to add this color into your life...choose the one that best suits you.

  • Summer Style for the Office

Posted on July 20, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

Between the stifling heat and the surprise summer storms, it is easy to fall into a fashion rut during the summer. Below are a few adorable outfits you may want to try! Of course, not all of these outfits may be appropriate for the office. If you work in a more conservative environment, substitute closed toe pumps for the open toe heels. And make sure the hemline of your own adorable skirt falls at least at the knee, instead of a few inches above.

You probably already have a version of this outfit in your closet! A crisp white button-down, a neutral skirt, and pops of color. This look uses turquoise, a brilliant but office-friendly color. But you could use any color you wanted - maybe yellow?

This look would transition perfectly from office to evening. The structured leather handbag makes the lightweight summer dress feel more office appropriate, and with the right shoes (and blazer, depending on your work environment) you can definitely make this work.

This is another look you may already have in your closet. You could even use the same white button-down as before, if you wanted. But this time, pair it with a dark navy or black A-line skirt. Grab a large structured bag (like the one in the previous look) and heels, and you're all set. Though to keep the professional look, you may want to leave the heart-shaped sunglasses at home :)

This look is soft and romantic, but still office appropriate. The adorable mint green skirt could go with almost any color shirt, but again, a basic white keeps the outfit suitable for the office. Neutral accessories let the polka-dot skirt be the star of the outfit, just as it should be.

What do you think of these outfits? Would you wear any of them to the office?

  • What to Wear: Wedding Season

Posted on June 22, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

A new season has arrived. No, not summer.

    Wedding season!

If you're like me, you have at least three invitations posted on your fridge. And once you've answered the "date or no date" question, you must answer the next important question.

    Whatever will I wear?

    Here are a few ideas.

A frilly little black dress is an excellent choice, especially when paired with light accessories. This look feels light and airy, something we all need in this sweltering heat.

This lacy little black dress is a tad fancier than the previous one. With some dressier accessories, this dress would be perfect for an evening ceremony.

This feminine look would be great for an afternoon wedding, especially an outdoor one.

And this precious yellow dress could go day or night. Just throw on heels instead of the flats, and you're ready to dance all night at that fancy reception!

  • Spring 2012 Trend: Orange

Posted on February 8, 2012 by Jennifer Bryant

Some trends don't translate well from the runway. But as winter blossoms into spring, there is one trend that we all can rock:

    Orange!

Ok, so maybe safety vest orange isn't the easiest color to pull off. If you are hesitant, then you should consider starting small.

A cell phone case is a great place to start. That small pop of color will instantly brighten your wardrobe, and you can participate in the trend without worrying about how the orange will look against your complexion. (This particular case is for an iPhone4, and can be purchased here.)

But for the more advanced trendsetters, consider an orange color block dress like this one. This dress combines two huge spring 2012 trends . (Dress by 213 Industry, and can be purchased here.)

And guys, you can definitely participate too. Check out these golf pants (by Puma and can be purchased here).
