The BlackBerry Z10 has received mostly popular reviews since it's arrival. With a 4.2 inch screen, the Z10 is bigger than the iPhone 5 and has greater resolution too! (1,280 x 768, in case you were wondering.) It also has double the RAM of most smartphones on the market (2 GB versus 1 GB) - this enables the Z10 to work incredibly fast. And the onscreen keyboard is amazing! Even those with larger fingers will be able to use it easily. So what are the downsides? A very short battery life. Reports vary on how long it actually lasts, but the consensus is that if you purchase the Z10, you should be prepared to charge it throughout the day. (If you're an iPhone user, you are probably used to this already!) However, unlike the iPhone, the batter of the Z10 can be swapped. You can purchase spare batteries ($33 each) to keep on hand if you know you won't be able to charge your phone. The other downside is the inconvenience of the BlackBerry Hub, the new messaging center on the Z10. Every single message that comes into the phone is sent to the Hub - texts, email, BlackBerry messages, Facebook notifications, etc. This sounds great in theory, but the Hub isn't easily accessible. In fact, it can take as many four swipes (depending on what you're in when the message comes through) to get to the Hub. Also, there is no way of knowing what kind of message or what is in the message without getting into the Hub. The Z10 simply makes a noise and flashes to let you know something is there, however you can customize the sound to let you know at least what kind of message it is.
