We all know how technology has improved exponentially in recent years and this is only continuing as time passes. Improvements in software and hardware have led to huge advances in fields such as music, fashion, and blogging. But would you believe it if we told you the latest tech improvements are being used in the medical field?
Recent surveys have shown that the iPad will continue to play a large role in the medical field as shifts to electronic health records take place in the near future. This survey illustrated that over 68% of polled doctors and practices use devices such as iPads and/or other tablets in keeping track of their patient records. This poll, done by Black Book Rankings, states that doctors may be interested in using devices for EHRs. This would mean that the devices would be used for patient charts, check labs, and medication orders. At this point, only 8% of the polled doctors or practices use this feature, but we can expect this number to grow as technology continues to advance.
So what does this mean for you, the consumer?
